Pre-packed carts include canned goods, dry goods, fresh produce, cereal, rice, pasta, soups, frozen meat, eggs, milk, snacks, beverages, bakery goods, paper goods, cleaning supplies & personal care items.

FISH of McHenry Food Pantry has been open and will continue to remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic but with new policies implemented for the safety of our volunteers and guests.  Since March 17, 2020, we have been serving only outdoors in a drive up format with generous carts of pre-packed food, personal care and household items.  Currently, we are offering assistance to both families and individual adults who are in need of food and household products regardless of their geographic living area.

FISH of McHenry Food Pantry is committed to providing a safe environment for our volunteers, guests and any people who visit our facility.  We are monitoring the coronavirus situation on a daily basis, and responding accordingly.

The low-income families, seniors, veterans and disabled individuals that we serve may
be especially impacted by the economic and/or medical consequences of the coronavirus and the public reactions to this situation.  We stand by our mission to provide healthy food and household goods to our neighbors in need and are working very hard to fully continue our services through this challenging time.  This also means that we need to take precautions and have changed some of our policies of how we will distribute food in this uncertain situation.

Here are the policies and actions we have implemented to maintain an environment that will allow us to continue to serve our guests:

   A.  All guests that come to our facility will be served with food and household items

but we have changed our procedures temporarily for the safety of all.  Currently, we
are only serving outdoors in a drive-up model.  Guests are being served what they

were served previously, before Co-Vid, and even more each month.  Guests are
not required to sign anything at this time to receive food.

   B.  At the present time, we are serving guests during our regular pantry hours.
Guests should remain in their cars and follow instructions from volunteers
directing traffic in parking lot.  Each car will receive a clipboard with a shopping
list of items that they can check off along with desired quantities.  The list will
then be filled inside by volunteers and brought out in carts to cars. To view
our current Shopping Lists please click on the following links.

   C. If volunteers are feeling ill, have recently been ill, or have compromised
immune systems, we are asking them to leave our facility and return home.
   D. We are taking precautions by providing masks, gloves, disinfectant wipes, and

hand sanitizer to our volunteers and encouraging everyone to wash their
        hands often.

We will continue to update this page with any changes.
We thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.
